What "free" means
No timer, no card.
Musha · Free is free up to 10 entities. Not free-for-30-days, not free-but-features-locked, not free-until-we-feel-greedy. Just free.
All 10 templates, the custom-template builder, the finance ledger, the per-template reports, the encrypted backup — all included. The ceilings are the 10-entity cap, the absence of AI, and a single device (multi-device sync starts on a paid tier).
The reason this works: a real-sized mixed farm has more than 10 entities. Free is how Musha earns your trust before you pay anything.
FAQ
Common questions.
I only farm rabbits — is Musha for me?
Yes. Rabbit is one of the built-in templates, with mating, palpation, kindling, weaning and weighing events. Enable just that template and the rest of the app stays out of your way. The Free tier covers up to 10 entities to start.
Can I switch tiers later?
Up or down, any month, no lock-in. If you drop back to Musha · Free with more than 10 entities, the existing ones stay but you can't create new ones until you delete or upgrade.
How many devices can I use, and how does sync work?
Free is single-device. Paid tiers let you use Musha on more of your own devices — Standard 2, Pro 3, Studio 5 — and keep them in sync. Sync is end-to-end encrypted: your data is sealed on the device with your passphrase before it leaves, so the server only ever stores ciphertext it can't read. It's snapshot-based (not live collaboration); edit conflicts are detected and surfaced for you to resolve, and a record being edited on another device is flagged. If you sign in on a new device beyond your tier's limit, your oldest device is signed out to make room.
Do I pay for AI separately?
AI is included up to your tier's daily quota — no separate AI charge and no overage billing. When you reach the daily quota the AI pauses until it resets the next day; the deterministic parts of every feature keep working offline regardless. The per-request input/output caps are fixed — those are mathematical.
What about iOS?
Android first. iOS is on the roadmap once Android has shipped publicly. A web dashboard for Musha is further out.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Nothing — your farm data is on your device. Cancelling stops AI features and re-imposes the 10-entity cap on new entries. Existing entities stay. Export an encrypted backup any time.
